This One-Day Course, for Old Students who have completed a 10-day Vipassana Meditation course with S.N. Goenka or his Assistant Teachers, is held at The Po Lam Nunnery is located at 46350 Prairie Central Road (at Velma Avenue) in Chilliwack, British Columbia. How to get to the Chilliwack, BC course Site from...

VANCOUVER (about 90 minutes): Take Highway 1 east to Chilliwack. Take EXIT 119 and stay to the right of the exit ramp so as to head south towards Sardis/Cultis Lake. As you merge onto Veddar Road get over to the left lane and turn left at the first set of traffic lights (Luckakuck Way). There are Husky & Shell gas stations at this intersection.

Continue for about 0.5km to the Young Rd. traffic lights. Turn right onto Young Rd. Immediately you will come to a V-shaped road (Prairie Central Road on the left arm, and Chwk River Road on the right).

Keep to the right on Chwk River Rd. Five houses down Chwk River Rd., on the left side, is Velma Avenue. Turn left onto Velma Ave. (Velma is a dead-end road) At the far end of the street is a private driveway for the Po Lam Nunnery.

HOPE, BC (25 - 30 minutes): Take Highway 1 west to EXIT 120 (Young Road). Turn left at Young Rd. Pass under the overpass. You will come to a set of traffic lights at the intersection of Young Road and Luckakuk Way. Keep going straight until you come to a V-shaped road (Prairie Central Road on the left, and Chwk River Road on the right). Stay to the right on Chwk River Road. Five houses down turn left onto Velma Avenue. (Velma is a dead-end road) At the far end of Velma is a private driveway for the Po Lam Nunnery.

SEATTLE (3 hours): Take Interstate 5 to Bellingham area. Take the Highway 539 Exit. Follow Highway 539 North to Highway 546. Take Highway 546 east to Sumas Washington. Cross the border to Canada and follow Highway 11 for about 3 minutes to Highway 1. Take Highway 1 East to Chilliwack, and follow the directions as above for Vancouver.
